Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist Emmanuel Laflamme pushes the boundaries of art with his unique blend of absurdity and cultural critique. Since 2011, Emmanuel Laflamme has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions in Canada, the United States and Europe, presenting his works inspired by popular imagery. He also won the Canada-wide Art Ici competition with his work Hésychasme, featuring the Virgin Mary playing Nintendo DS. In 2013, he was awarded the third prize in the Just for Laughs international visual arts competition.
